ESPN relaunches Premier League app

ESPN has enhanced its Goals app ahead of the new Barclays Premier League season, making the service freely available for the first time.

Beginning with the 2011-12 season UK football fans can catch action from every Premier League match – within just minutes of it taking place – for free on their mobile device. ESPN Goals will feature video of goals and match action, live scores and fixtures, along with additional video including match previews, weekend round-ups and ESPN interviews.

An enhanced video-led interface will also be introduced while ESPN Goals will send fans notifications alerting them when goals are scored. The service will be available via Apple iTunes, Android Market, Nokia’s OVI Store, the Blackberry App World and Windows Phone Marketplace, covering the entire range of major smartphone platforms for the first time.
